-- Rachel and Judith Smith; the mother-daughter team behind the popular online
jewelry retailer and local Cape Cod favorite Giving Tree Jewelry, have announced
the launch of seven accessory lines designed exclusively for their gallery. "We
have been moved by the terrible headlines in the news about the collapse of our
economy and the environment; so this year we all became extra committed to doing
things that feed and nurture our fragile world, and the things that matter most
to us- family, friendship, and being kind" says gallery co-owner Judith Smith.
The Giving Tree team spent a better part of this year developing their own lines
of jewelry to sell in their Cape Cod gallery; and now have made their exclusive
pieces available online! "It's all about nature! We hope the messages in these
pieces translate. We created them with respect and love and I think our
customers are going to love them," Smith says.
The uniquely designed jewelry lines are handcrafted and made in local Cape Cod
studios. They include: LiveGreen Jewelry, made of natural organic cotton cord
and sustained birch wood; Cape Cod Rocks, inspired by the natural beauty of the
Cape Cod beaches and real rocks found on the beaches; Lucille Rey, a line of
stylish headscarves and wrist wraps designed by Rey and German designer Sylke
Nora Kuhn; Love in a Nut Shell, a classic sterling silver necklace designed by
gallery owner co-owner Judith Smith; Righteous Relics, a line of trendy sterling
silver necklaces for men and women designed to raise awareness & donate back to
charity foundations; 13Hearts, a sterling silver 'heart' wrapped in velvet or
leather and stored in a bag that includes the meditation that served as it's
inspiration; and Tiny Wishes, a delicate line of 14-K gold charm necklaces
encourageing the customer to choose their favorite charm and or word. "These
pieces really speak to me" says designer and gallery co-owner Rachel Smith.
"They are delicate and lovely and represents a special wish for yourself or your
loved one". The new pieces are available on the company's retail Website,
